Current Students Laboratories
Practical work in laboratories forms an essential part of the curriculum. Almost all subjects taught are augmented by practicals in the laboratories . The Department has a boiler lab, an auto- mobile and heat-engine lab, refrigeration lab, heat transfer laboratory, metallurgy laboratory, computer laboratory. Recently a rapid proto-typing laboratory has been added to the department laboratories. In the area of production and manufacturing, facilities include conventional and CNC machine tools. Recently added are robotics laboratory, instrumentation laboratory, advance CAD/CAM laborator y, and Mechatronics Design Laboratory.
Computing Facilities
The Department has well – equipped computer laboratories with networked PCs. Latest CAD and simulation software prepare the students to be well versed with current computer applications.
Industrial Visits
Industrial visits are regularly conducted every year to broaden the horizon of students and to appraise them with the industry of Pakistan.
Research
Faculty is actively involved in research in the areas of vibration, design, stress analysis, impact analysis, mechanisms and applications of artificial Intelligence in mechanical engineering.
